Garioch Rugby Club is looking for volunteers to fill the following roles in age groups across our Junior section.

ROLE DESCRIPTION | |
Lead Coach | • Plan and deliver coaching sessions appropriate to the ability of participants • Provide support and advice to the assistant coaches and helpers within the coaching team • Brief all helpers and assistant coaches on the aims of the session and the purpose of each activity. Involve all helpers and make sure they are made aware of the value of their input • liaise with the Team Manager and Fixture Secretary to ensure there are regular, appropriate, competitive opportunities for players • travel to competitions with the respective team(s) |
Assistant Coach/Parent Helper | • assist with the coaching sessions • assist in the preparation of coaching sessions in advance where practicable • work with Lead Coach in the running of each session. • travel to competitions with the respective team(s) |
Age Group/Team Manager | • Provide administrative support to Age Group • Ensure membership forms and payments are collected • Ensure that you are well briefed about any special needs of the participants involved i.e. significant medical conditions, physical impairments or disabilities and communicate this with respective coach(s) • be aware of the clubs Health & Safety policy and Emergency Procedures and ensure they are strictly adhered to by all participants in the age group • ensure that there is an accessible, well stocked first aid kit available and communicate its location to age group coaches. • travel to competitions with the respective team(s) • liaise with the Coach and Fixture Secretary to ensure there are regular, appropriate, competitive opportunities for players • coordinate with Coaches travel arrangements to competitions/games |
