World Cup Schools Carnival
Garioch RFC hosted a World Cup Schools Rugby Festival on Tuesday October 9th 2007 and it was a chance for children from six Inverurie schools to show off their Rugby talent after first term rugby coaching.
Students from Kellands Primary, Strathburn Primary, Chapel of Garioch Primary, Hatton of Fintray Primary, Keithhall Primary and Market Place Primary participated in an afternoon of tag rugby which has been a part of their first term PE curriculum courtesy of a school's coaching initiative run by Garioch RFC.
12 teams each played 5 games of tag rugby in a festival to celebrate the Rugby World Cup 2007 and everyone showed just how well they have picked up the skills of Rugby throughout the term.
Congratulations to everyone who participated on the day and who played with great a great spirit of fair play.
Everyone was declared a winner and returned to school with a small Scotland Rugby Ball and poster!
