P4 / P5 Training
Hello Everyone
With a little luck we may get started this weekend!
Training as normal at Kellands 10:30 Saturday 4.th The forecast does not look great so please check your email before leaving for training on Saturday.
Also, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather conditions - hat, waterproof jacket & trousers, etc.
A few of you have been asking about the possibility of arranging indoor facilities for training. This has been investigated and unfortunately there is not a large enough venue to hold (and train) up to 100 kids in Inverurie. All sports facilities are fully booked with other indoor activities on a Saturday morning.
Dates for Diary
Ellon Mini Rugby Tournament. Sunday 11th March. Further details will be issued closer to the event.
Club Rugby Kit and Second-hand Kit Donations
Please donate any rugby jerseys, training tops, shorts and boots that your child has grown out of and we will stick it on our second hand kit stall at the club house. A lot of their gear is hardly used before they need a new one. Better that it gets regenerated and we can all grab a bargain with the proceeds going to support the mini section.
Please deliver items to the club house (Gail, Judy or one of the other ladies) in a clean and presentable condition.
Training Times
Minis (P6-P7) Saturday 10:30 – 12:00 Lead Coach Ian McHardy
Minis (P4-P5) Saturday 10:30 – 12:00 Lead Coach Laird Parker

Training Requirements
Clothing
A child should attend training wearing appropriate sport clothing:
· Rugby jersey
· Shorts or training trousers
· Socks
· Rugby or football boots. Boots should have metal studs. Blades and moulded souls are not permitted.
· Water bottle
As we move into winter in addition a child should have:
· Woolly beanie or scrum cap
· Light weight waterproof top
· Training gloves
Every child (P4-P7) must have (and wear) a mouth guard. No mouth guard means no training. This rule will be strictly applied by referees at tournaments. Micros (P1-P3) rugby is non-contact and a mouth guard is not mandatory. No jewellery including watches.
Please ensure that your child’s possessions are labelled.
Club jerseys and a variety of other good quality training items are available at the club shop. Branded shorts and training tops will be available by the end of October.
DF Sports, in Inverurie, now have a stock in place of GRFC rugby socks in junior, youth and senior sizes
